Kenny closes. Where would your kids go?
The Sept 15 plan splits Kenny's families between Armatage and Windom by home address, and the split line moves between options. Enter your address to see your school under Options 1, 2 and 3.
MPS has not published an address lookup or boundary data for these options. We traced the boundary lines from the maps on slides 71, 72 and 73 of the district's presentation. Our tracing is accurate to about one city block. If you live within a block or two of a line, confirm with MPS. [Slides 71-73]

Option 1: Kenny's area is split along Emerson Ave S. West of the line goes to Armatage, east goes to Windom. South of about W 59th St the line jogs a block east and angles back southwest toward 62nd St.
How we built this, and what it can't tell you
Source. Slides 71, 72 and 73 of the Sept 15, 2026 presentation each show a map of the Southwest pathway and mark Kenny with "* By home address," meaning Kenny's families are split between schools by where they live. [Presentation] Kenny's area goes to Armatage and Windom in all three options. In Option 3, part of Windom's area also moves to Hale. In Options 2 and 3, Lake Harriet families north of a new line go to Kenwood.
Method. We took the map images out of the PDF, separated the shaded areas along the district's boundary lines, and matched the map to real coordinates using eight schools whose addresses we located with the US Census geocoder. The match is typically within 30 to 90 meters, about one city block. The Options 1 and 2 dividing line lands on Emerson Ave S, the street Kenny sits on, which is a good sign the match is right.
What it can't tell you. Exact assignments for homes within a block or two of a line. Walk zones and busing. Where Kenny's autism program or Minneapolis Kids would go, which the presentation doesn't say. Sibling, magnet or special education placements. Anything outside the Southwest pathway. The district's final boundaries could also change before or after the vote.
